French Toast Stuffed With Cream Cheese and Jam

So today I wanted to share with you my take on the best french toast I ever had in my life. It was while I was on vacation in Virginia Beach. I forget the name of the restaurant but I know next time I am down there I will definitely go again. It was awesome but go figure it was ridiculously high in calories. So when I got home I made it a mission to recreate a low calorie version of this recipe.

So now I am going to assume that you already made my awesome low calorie french toast recipe so I wont go over every little detail or every step. I am just going on the assumption that you know how to make french toast.

This recipe calls for using light bread, egg whites, laughing cow cream cheese and polaner sugar free high fiber jam. Thats all. You can also use sugar free syrup and a low calorie butter but that is up to you. Keep them handy and see if you want to add it. I use some extra syrup on top but not butter.

So a quick review. The light bread will save a lot of calories and wont effect taste. Same with the egg whites. Very low in calories and will get the job done. The cream cheese and sugar free jam are magic. Both taste great, have great texture and save a ton of calories.

So you can start by mixing in some cream cheese and sugar free jam together. This takes some time. The low calorie cream cheese is not the easiest to mix but it will work with a bit effort. Just combine it to taste. For two people I use about two or three triangles of the laughing cow cream cheese and then add in a few tablespoons of the sugar free jam. When in doubt prepare more then you think you will need. The worst that will happen is that you have some extra and you can just spread it on top as well.

After you create this mixture of cream cheese and jam just make your french toast as usual. When it is done you are basically just making a sandwich. Place the mixture in between two pieces of french toast. Stuff it with as much as the mixture as you would like and you are done.

Top it with some sugar free syrup if you would like and you are good to go.
